The handover reflected both gratitude and anticipation—honoring the achievements of the past while embracing new opportunities to serve our community with renewed energy and purpose.

Cleft Lip and Palate Surgery at Angau Hospital

On June 3, 2025, our Rotary Club had the privilege of supporting a life-changing initiative at Angau Hospital in Lae, where a team of dedicated medical professionals performed cleft lip and palate surgeries for children aged 13 and under. This initiative was a powerful reminder of the impact we can have when we come together to support those in need. The smiles on the faces of the children and their families were priceless, and this event marks a significant step in our ongoing efforts to provide essential healthcare to underserved communities. We are deeply grateful for everyone who made this mission possible and look forward to continuing our work in bringing hope and healing to more children in the years to come.

Blood Fridge Donation

On April 26, 2025, our Rotary Club proudly donated a blood fridge to Angau Hospital, a critical addition to their medical facilities that will help store and preserve life-saving blood for patients in need. This donation is part of our ongoing efforts to support healthcare in our community and ensure that essential resources are available in times of emergency. The blood fridge will play a key role in improving the hospital’s capacity to respond to medical emergencies, surgeries, and trauma cases, saving countless lives in the process. We are grateful to our members, donors, and partners whose generosity made this possible. Together, we continue to strengthen our healthcare systems and contribute to the well-being of those who need it most.

Over the past few months, our Rotary Club has been thrilled to welcome new members into our Rotary family, each bringing unique skills, passion, and dedication to our mission of Service Above Self.  In November 2024, we inducted Linda Kotong, a passionate advocate for community development, who brings a wealth of experience and a heart for service. In March 2025, we were excited to welcome Asi Vaname and Karley Morrison to our club. Asi’s commitment to youth empowerment and Karley’s dedication to social impact will undoubtedly strengthen our efforts in making a difference. In April 2025, we proudly inducted Michelle Javier and Mary Vaname, two incredible individuals whose energy and enthusiasm for community service will help us reach new heights in our work. We are grateful to have each of you join our Rotary family, and we look forward to working alongside you as we continue to serve our community and the world.
