Service Projects Summary

‘C’ School Equipment

Many schools in PNG do not have the tools and equipment to provide a good education. This project aims at delivering equipment to Lae’s most needy schools. Books, desks, chairs and computers (arranged through Donations in Kind and local businesses) will be distributed to these schools via our dedicated project team.

Fundraisers

Annual Black Tie Ball.

The club hosts an annual fund-raising Black Tie Ball every year. This event is a fantastic way of treating customers, staff, or just yourselves, partners and friends to a fabulous night out.

Annual Charity Golf Game

The Rotary Club of Lae holds it’s Annual Charity Social Golf Day on Independence Day every year. Funds raised on the day go towards selected community projects which encompass a range of beneficial initiatives in the Health, Education and Social welfare spheres. Companies from all over Papua New Guinea are invited to participate in the event by sponsoring a corporate team.

Donations in Kind

RAWCS – Northern Region

The club receives containers of Donations in kind from RAWCS in Australia. The goods received are School Books, School Desks, Hospital Equipment, Medical supplies etc. The club distributes these goods to the needy schools, hospitals and health centers as appropriate.
