Rotary Newsletter – July to September 2025

September 2025

Our quarterly newsletter for July to September 2025 highlights a busy and impactful first quarter, showcasing our club’s dedication to service, community engagement, and fellowship. From the Changeover Dinner and induction of new member Caroline Kahai, to health initiatives like the ENT Medical Camps, community support through sports gear donations, and advocacy with the “No to DV” campaign, the newsletter captures the breadth of our activities. It also features milestones such as Hans’ 40 years of Rotary service, the Club Excellence Award for 2024–2025, and meaningful donations like the ECG to Angau Hospital and a wheelchair for Caroline Kahai’s father. This edition reflects our ongoing commitment to making a tangible difference and inspires members and the wider community to stay involved.

Throughout 2025, our club continued hosting regular Rotary meetings, welcoming guests who were inspired by our fellowship and service to eventually become members. Some meetings were held outside our usual venue, providing fresh settings to engage, share ideas, and strengthen connections. These gatherings reflect our club’s inclusive spirit, commitment to growth, and the value we place on welcoming new voices into our community of service.

Wheelchair Donation

September 2025

In September 2025, our club facilitated the donation of a wheelchair to the father of our member Caroline Kahai. The wheelchair, provided by the Rotary Club of Boroko in Port Moresby, was delivered to ensure he could enjoy greater mobility and independence. This act of compassion highlights the Rotary spirit of support and collaboration across clubs, bringing meaningful assistance to those in need.

Morobe Show 2025

September 2025

Our participation in the Morobe Show in September 2025 was unexpectedly limited, as we were only able to operate our stall for one day. Despite the setback, we made the most of the opportunity to engage with visitors, and connect with the community. The experience reinforced our resilience and commitment to serving and inspiring our community, no matter the challenges.
